2 Kings 4:38-41

38 When Elisha returned to Gilgal, there was a shortage of food [famine] in the land. While the groups [company; brotherhood; sons] of prophets were sitting in front of him, he said to his servant, “Put the large pot on the fire, and boil some stew for these men [this company/brotherhood/sons of prophets].”

39 One of them went out into the field to gather ·plants [herbs]. Finding a wild vine, he picked fruit from the vine and filled his robe with it [gathered a lapful of wild gourds]. Then he came and cut up the fruit into the pot. But they didn’t know what kind of fruit it was. [He returned and sliced them into a pot of stew, not knowing what they were.] 40 They poured out [served] the stew for the others to eat. When they began to eat it, they shouted, “Man of God, there’s death [poison] in the pot!” And they could not eat it.

41 Elisha told them to bring some ·flour [meal]. He threw it into the pot and said, “Pour it out for [Serve it to] the people to eat.” Then there was nothing harmful in the pot.

In recent years, the prophetic ministry has been a subject of controversy. In many instances, it has lacked accuracy, ettiequte, and genuine commitment to The Word, Character, and Nature of God. The above story is a reflection of this and what many have encountered that has produced death in someway shape or form. Jesus said that one of the signs that we would be in the last days is that “many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many” (Matthew 24:11). Unfortunately many have been the recipients of such deception and as a result have become isolated, offended, and hurt due to lack of understanding and training in this area of ministry. But we believe that God has an answer and that He has a plan for prophets and prophetic gifted people the are alive during this time. Even though Jesus said this would take place, it does not mean that there would not be those who He has called that would rise up and stay true to the biblical prophetic ministry that He has always ordained in His word.

MISSIONS STATEMENT

School of The Prophets is an extension of Joseph Harris Ministries purpose and mission to perfect the body of Christ - one soul at a time - by creating environments where they can experience Spirit-led worship and hear the truth of the word of God taught.

School of The Prophets is a ministry school that has been established to build, develop, and equip prophetic individuals in biblical and practical application concerning the offices and gifts of the prophetic. This is done by creating a safe training environment of community and fellowship over the truth of The Word of God and the activation of The Holy Spirit taught by Pastor Joseph Harris and seasoned prophetic voices in The Body of Christ. At the completion of the school, students will leave having received an impartation that will help them to be launched and advanced in to the prophetic ministry that God has placed in their lives. Our prayer is that each graduate will able to minister effectively in the areas The Lord is sending them in to. Students will graduate with a certificate of completion and will also have an opportunity to apply to our Love Center Global Ministry Network to receive additional spiritual covering and support for their ministry.
